Club members have a new, unique opportunity to get an international experience through District 5580's Rotary Friendship Exchange!  Friendship Exchange is an international exchange program for Rotary members and friends that allows participants to take turns hosting one another in their homes and clubs.  Our district is currently coordinating an exchange with District 4521 in Brazil!  A group from District 5580 will travel to Brazil and be hosted by local Rotarians, tentatively in March of 2027.  Applications will be taken through the end of year.

 

Then, a group from Brazil will be hosted throughout District 5580, tentatively scheduled for September 2027.  It is anticipated that they will spend a couple days in Bemidji as part of their visit.

The Bemidji Rotary Club is hoping to continue our long history of support for Rotary Youth Exchange by recruiting outbound and hosting inbound students for the 2027-2028 school year.  There are always great students from around the world seeking exchange opportunities.  If you are interested in learning more about being a host family for a student next year, please let a board member know!  Hosts need to be identified by the end of 2026.  Ideally, three hosts will be identified, with each family hosting three months of the school year.

The Bemidji Rotary Club is again supporting District 5580's 4-Way Test Essay Competition.  Please help promote this opportunity to area juniors.  Essays need to uploaded by November 30.  More information is available on our website here.
